The St. Joseph’s Institutions, including St. Joseph Girls Higher Secondary School, St. Joseph Matriculation School, RCM Elementary School, and St. Joseph’s Dispensary, collectively organized a magnificent Marian
exhibition to pay tribute to the revered Mother Mary.
The event commenced with a poignant prayer
service at 9:00 a.m., where staff and students converged to extol and honor the blessed mother.
Students from the Girls Higher Secondary School donned attire depicting various apparitions of Mother Mary, presenting succinct histories of each -– Our Lady of Fatima, Our Lady of Lourdes, Our lady of Pillar,
Our lady of Veilankanni, our lady of Konankuppam, Elakurichy, Our Lady of the World, Our Lady of
expectation, Mary help of Christians. The students were invited to offer prayers for the intentions of
the institution, family, and the global community. Sr. Kanickaraj Mary Tamizharasi, Correspondent
and Animator, delivered an inspiring message on the theme “Mary, the Morning Star and
Lighthouse,” emphasizing her role as a beacon of guidance and hope.
A solemn procession, led by students dressed as Mother Mary, accompanied by sisters, staff, and
student representatives, proceeded to the Dispensary Hall, where Sr. Kanickaraj Mary Tamizharasi
formally inaugurated the exhibition. The diverse representations included:
- Exquisite depictions of various Mother Marys by Girls Higher Secondary School
- A replica of the grotto at Lourdes and Don Bosco’s dream at nine by RCM Elementary
School - A poignant display of Marian apparitions by Dispensary staff
- Illuminating exhibits on Mary in the New Testament and a Marian garden by Matriculation
school
The exhibition featured partly live representations, allowing school children to visit and augment
their knowledge and devotion to Mother Mary throughout the day.
Furthermore, on September 8th, commemorating Girl Child Day, the boarding girls were honored
with the privilege of planting saplings, accompanied by the Sisters of the community, serving as a
meaningful gesture to glorify Mother Mary.
