College – Auxilium College (Thiruvalluvar University)

Auxilium College Auxilium College, founded in 1954, is the first women”s College in Vellore District, and is affiliated to the University of Madras. It is a minority institution, established and administered by the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, commonly known as Salesian Sisters of Don Bosco, belonging to the Catholic Church. It is primarily meant for the higher education of deserving Catholics, but members of other communities are also admitted without reference to caste or creed and their rights of conscience are respected. True to the vision of its founders, the college commits itself to serve the economically weak, socially backward and needy students.

Auxilium College of Education for Women, affiliated to Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli , is a minority Institution established and administered by the Salesian Sisters of Don Bosco belonging to the Catholic Church.

“Educate to Empower” is the motto of the college. It aims to produce integrally formed Salesian Educators who will in turn educate and empower the society for a better tomorrow in today”s India.

The College is located in a village of Pudukottai Dt. It was established in order to develop the villages around and in particular the district of Pudukottai and to provide quality Education to the student teachers.

The College has got a Salesian atmosphere to learn and develop the student teachers with discipline and commitment They have got opportunity to learn not only subjects of study but also the way to live. The Don Bosco”s System of Education in the College is holistic which is necessary for the over all development of a person.

Mary Most Holy is the Queen and Mother of our College. We entrust ourselves to her maternal care. May She protect and guide all who enter this Auxilium campus of Education.

The College received the NCTE approval on 1st Feb. 2006 for the annual intake 100 students (women)
