FORMATION SECTOR MEET WITH ANIMATORS, COUNCILLORS AND FORMATORS

DAY II, 24 Feb 2019, KODAMBAKKAM, CHENNAI

The second day of the Formation Sector meet began with the melodious Marian song. We were awakened to this Marian day 24th.  Whispering Marian Prayer, Mary Help of Christians and entrusting ourselves to the Heart of Jesus began the day in the company of Mary. At 6.30 a.m. all of us gathered in the conference Hall for the morning prayer and Lectio Divina. With soul stirring Bhajan on Holy Spirit Sr.Gabriel Mary Chitra led us to the cenacle of our hearts. Sr.Anelfreda Miranda prayerfully accompanied us to Cana for wedding feast in the company of Jesus and Mary. The gospel passage was read meditatively. After few minutes of sharing our own past experience of participating in any wedding celebrations of relatives and friends in small groups, furrows of our hearts were ready to welcome the seed; the word of God John 2: 1-11, the Marriage feast at Cana. Then we were given time to read, to reflect on the well-prepared Inspiring page. “A Gospel Charismatic reading in the context of the formative project for the period of temporary profession”. This experiential Lectio Divina concluded with praise and thanksgiving prayer. At.7.45 a.m. we went for the wedding agape with joy and experience of Marian motherhood.

At. 8.45 a.m. all the 36 participants were gathered in the hall to begin the session with the blessings of God. Sr.Mariadoss Amala Mary invoking indwelling Spirit introduced us to the day’s programme. Sr.Reboso Maria Nieves continued enlightening second chapter the following sub elements: Mission, accompaniment and challenges that emerged from the lived experience of temporary professed and dreams of the temporary professed. This was followed by half an hour personal reading and reflection. At 11.15 a.m. we went in groups to high light 3 aspects relative to the temporary professed, the formation communities, formators and the challenges. At 12.00 a.m. the climate of the day the Eucharist was celebrated by Fr.John Christy SDB the Rector of SIGA. During his introductory talk briefly highlighted the ancient and beautiful culture of Tamil Nadu and expressed his appreciation for the efficient and effective mission carried out by FMAs in Tamil Nadu and in Chennai City. At the conclusion of Lunch Sr.Mudiappaswamy Nirmala thanked Rev.Fr.John Christy SDB for his inspired homily and his esteem for us FMA.

In the afternoon at 3 p.m. Sr.Anelfreda Miranda presented to us in brief the third chapter of the guidelines Mary at Cana: Icon of Inspiration and chapter 4 on convictions that matured during the process. Then Sr.Maria Fisichella explained the chapter 5 of the document: Choices to be prioritized.Then we were divided into groups to write down some concrete and verifiable methods to accompany the temporary professed sisters. At 7.15 p.m. the evening prayer was animated by Sr.Vimala Sebastian followed by supper.

Around 8.30 p.m. We had a Recreation organized by Kodambakkam community in different groups depicting the Indian culture explaining the importance of it. Sr.Reboso Maria Nieves gave us good night on the importance of the examination of conscience and with the night prayers the second day came to an end.
