FORMATION SECTOR MEET – ROME

Thanking God for the gift of another day we saw the light of the day. After the angelus and entrustment prayer the Eucharistic celebration began with meaningful entrance. Different flower petals were carried to the altar signifying the different stages of formation – contact period, aspirancy and postulancy, Novitiate, temporary professed, late adulthood with the fitting commentary, Surrendering to the Eucharistic Lord Our Formative journey and also invoking God’s bountiful blessings on Sr. Maria Nieves Roboso, Sr.Fiscichella and Sr.Anelfreda Miranda.
The celebrant Rev. Fr. Cassius Correya SDB, the professor from Salesian Theologate, Kavarapettai gave a good start greeting all of us especially the formation Team from Rome assuring us his remembrance at the Eucharist. During homily, the celebrant highlighted Jesus mission of suffering and glorification of humility in our day to day life. At breakfast Sr. Ambrose Arockia Jeyaceeli, thanked the celebrant for his generous availability.
At 8.45 a.m. we gathered for the final day sessions. Sr. Chinnappan Mano Ranjitham with short video programme on accompaniment and the Holy Spirit song in the Indian Cultural way was very prayerful and inspiring to begin the day with enthusiasm. Sr. Maria Nieves explained about the organization of the phase of Temporary profession and the second Novitiate. It was followed by the group discussion and sharing in the general assembly. Clarifications were made with regard to the modality of period of second novitiate, Juniorate and discussed about the Schede, follow up, application, consultation about the temporary professed sisters.
Sr.Kanickarai Mary Thamizharasi the province coordinator for the formation presented to the team the content and various formative programmes organized for the temporary professed of our Province.
Sr. Maria Fisichella also presented the small booklet on later adulthood. Once again Sr. Maria Nieves presented and commented on the booklet Province Formation Coordinator explaining role and responsibilities. At 2.45 p.m. outline No: 10 A Formative proposals to enculturate were given for the final group work. After the discussion once again the final general assembly was held to discuss and to clarify the summery of the group work.
At 4.30 p.m. the 4 days seminar came to conclusion with short thanksgiving service and sharing a bit of wine as the remembrance of wedding at Cana.
