The graduation ceremony held at Auxilium College of Education Vellore on January 27th
was indeed a momentous occasion filled with pride, joy, and celebration. Under the
leadership of Dr. Sr. Stella Mary, the Principal of Stella Maris College, the event unfolded
beautifully, marking the culmination of years of hard work and dedication for the graduating
students. The ceremony commenced with an academic procession, a symbolic representation
of the academic journey undertaken by the students. Accompanied by flag girls, the
procession set the tone for the auspicious occasion. Following this, the rendition of
“Thamizthai Vazhuthu” resonated through the venue, paying homage to the rich cultural
heritage of the region’s. Sr. Amali Alexander, the Principal, extended a warm welcome to all
attendees through her speech, setting the stage for the proceedings ahead. The chief guest was
then honoured by Dr.Sr.Josephine rani Antonyraj with traditional adornments including the
“ponnadai,” symbolizing respect and honour, along with a bouquet and a gift. The highlight
of the event was the chief guest’s graduation address, where words of wisdom and inspiration
were imparted to the graduating students, encouraging them to embark on their future
endeavors with confidence and determination as women teachers. The distribution of
diplomas to the three batches of students of 2018-2020, 2019-2021, 2020-2022. marked a
significant milestone, signifying the completion of their academic journey and the beginning
of a new chapter in their lives. A total of 250 students were present to receive their hard-
earned degrees, a testament to their perseverance and dedication. Special recognition was
bestowed upon the university rank holders, Ms. Sindhu Velu. M -physical Science of
batch 2018-2020, and Kousalya Ramesh. G – History of batch 2020-2022 for their
outstanding academic achievements in the Tamilnadu state level.. They were honoured with
gold medal and cash prizes and awards by the Tamilnadu Teachers education University,
Chennai as well as by the Auxilium management, acknowledging their exemplary
performance and dedication to their respective fields of study. Furthermore, the college
toppers from each batch were recognized and awarded certificates and prizes, celebrating
their academic excellence and achievements throughout their tenure at the college. The
ceremony also highlighted the importance of financial support for deserving students, as the
Vincent Raj cash award scholarship was presented to three outstanding students from the
English department, further enabling them to pursue their academic aspirations. Finally the
students took oath. By taking this oath, the graduates affirmed their dedication to the noble
profession of teaching and their readiness to make a meaningful impact in the lives of their students
and the community at large. As the ceremony drew to a close, the singing of the national
anthem brought a sense of unity and pride, underscoring the significance of the occasion and
the collective achievements of all present. Overall, the graduation ceremony at Auxilium
College of Education was a poignant and memorable event, honouring the academic
accomplishments and celebrating the bright futures of the graduating students.
