A day of Recollection – Rev. Fr. Kochamkunnel Jose Sdb, Provincial – INM preached the retreat with the theme – “New wine in the new wine skins”

This was the day of recollection to invoke the Spirit in silence and reflection. Fr. K.M. Jose SDB, Salesian Provincial of Chennai gave a meaningful homily on reconciliation, renewal and revitalization. He exhorted the Chapter members to transform oneself with the two guiding principles of truth and love.

n the first session of the recollection day at 9.30 a.m Fr.K.M.Jose, Provincial highlighted the importance of forming convictions and to be witnesses to the world around. In the second talk Fr.K.M Jose enumerated the qualities necessary to become the new wine through a personal witness and living the beatitudes – the ‘Magna Carta’ of religious life. He suggested identifying the empty jars that need to be filled, the prospects of new challenges – reaching out to peripheries, primacy of service, educating to the right use of media and loving accompaniment of young people.
