The first Holy Communion preparations started at Michaelpuram Parish in Kallakurichi on April 4, 2024. Twenty girls and thirty-two boys from Michaelpuram and Thomas Nagar were frequent attendees of the one-hour morning and evening lessons each day. Sr. Santayagu Amirtha Alocis, with much care and interest followed these attendees.
She imparted church history and customs to them in addition to prayers. Their small hearts were made ready to meet Jesus with great fervor and eagerness by the stories of saints and martyrs. They are trained by following the recently revised prayer book (சின்னக் குறிப்பிடம்.).
On May 4, 2023, during the parish feast of St. Paul the Hermit, twenty-three of them received the Holy Sacrament.
