Dear Sisters,
Greetings to you!
I had the joy of being present in Sri Lanka for the inauguration of the formation house. The celebration was a meaningful one. During the Eucharistic celebration and the blessing of the house, the candidates who are aspiring to become FMAs were very active. They added joy and colour to the celebration. The seven candidates contributed by their singing and their programme were indeed praiseworthy. The presence of Most Rt. Rev. Emmanuel Fernando the Auxiliary Bishop of Colombo, Salesian priests, the priests and religious of other Congregation, parents of the candidates, well wishers, benefactors and laity appreciated and encouraged our Salesian Mission with the beginning of the new formation house in Sri Lanka. Our Salesian Sisters who serve the people of Sri Lanka were boosted to see the many candidates who desire to join our Congregation and to be part of the builders of God’s Kingdom in Sri Lanka. I appreciate and thank Sr. Mary Ann Fernando the animator and the Sisters of Auxilium community of Negombo, for their hard work and sacrifice to construct the formation house.
